Pray for the Need of St. Ignatius's Sons

I found this on Spirit Daily. It saddens me because it seems to me that the one thing that Russia could use is an authentic encounter with Christ. There seems to be a lot of lingering hostility to Christianity in the old Soviet Republic due to allegations (and verifications) of Orthodox clergy collaborating with the KGB. The old animosities has to go somewhere and unfortunately, these innocent men were the recipients.
Pray for this order of missionaries, and pray for a reconciliation of all hearts.

How awful! It is odd that at this time I am finishing a book, He Leadeth me, by Rev. Walter Ciszek, S.J. who was a Polish-American Jesuit priest known for his work in the Soviet Union where he was held prisoner for over 20 years. His words are comforting after a story like this one. How very sad! My prayers are with them and their families.
